How it works
One call or form puts you in touch with a wall builder that already works near you.
You call or send a request
Tell us where the property is and what's going on: a new wall, a wall that's bowing or cracking, old timbers that are rotting out, or water that won't drain from behind a wall.
We connect you with a local company
We send it to an independent retaining wall builder that covers Johnson City and the surrounding parts of Washington and Carter counties.
The company handles the job
They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.
What we are and aren't
Johnson City Retaining Walls is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.
Tennessee requires a state contractor's license from the Board for Licensing Contractors before anyone bids or offers a price on a project of $25,000 or more, counting labor and materials. Washington and Carter counties are not on the state's list of counties that require the separate home improvement license for smaller residential jobs, so for a modest wall ask for proof of insurance, a Johnson City business license if the work is inside the city, references and photos of walls that have stood for several years. Ask who will pull any permit and whether the wall needs an engineer, and get a written quote that lists the wall type, height, drainage and warranty.
